Veteran Recognition Pinning Ceremony
As our way of showing our gratitude, East Valley Hospice would like to honor all of our patients who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Staff from East Valley Hospice as well as an active member from the military armed forces will come to the patient’s home for a pinning ceremony, recognizing their sacrifice and service to our nation. During the ceremony, a brief history of the veteran’s military service will be shared, a hospice staff member will sing the National Anthem, and the military representative will present the patient with a certificate and recognition pin to honor the patient for his or her service to the United States of America.
Previous patients have invited their families to be in attendance for the short but meaningful ceremony. If requested, a video of the ceremony can be made available to the patient’s family.
Please contact East Valley Hospice if you would like to have your family member honored in this way. We consider it our privilege to honor those who have sacrificed to protect and insure our freedom.
If a family is open to sharing photos on our social media, we post photos of these special occasions on our East Valley Hospice Facebook Page.
